The Fairbanks Frontier Sweet Adelines would like to invite you to our annual
A Cappella Workshop.  Join us during one of our rehearsals  and have a sing-along.  For information call Joy at 474-0501.

In December 2008, Fairbanks Frontier Chorus will celebrate its 43rd anniversary, having received its Charter with Sweet Adelines International in 1965. Today the chorus has 34 members. 

Our Mission & Purpose

The Fairbanks Frontier Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is a group of women singers dedicated to advancing the barbershop art form, and to enriching the lives of its members and the community through friendship, education, musical excellence, and performance.
The purpose of the Fairbanks Frontier Chorus is the sharing of joy, love, pride, and belonging.

Highlights of our History
  • 1976:  Bicentennial show on tour to Southeastern Alaska.
  • 1977: Fairbanks Frontier Quartet, The Ice Breakers, won 2nd Place Regional Competition. 
  • 1979:  Fairbanks Frontier Quartet, The Arctic Association, won 1st Place Regional Competition and represented Region 13 at International Competition in St. Louis, Missouri and Atlanta, Georgia.
  • 1982:  Fairbanks Frontier Chorus won 2nd Place overall at Regional Competition.
  • 1984:  Invited to sing for a historical Pope and Presidential visit in Fairbanks.
  • 1985:  Fairbanks Frontier Chorus won 3rd Place Regional Competition Overall.
  • 1985:  Fairbanks Frontier Quartet, Alaska Gold, won 1st Place Regional Competition and represented Region 13 at International Competition in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • 1997:  Fairbanks Frontier Chorus won trophy for "Best Small Chorus" for 10th time in its history!
  • 2002:  Sept 11, International Participation in “Sing Out For Peace”
  • 2003:  Sept 11, "Sing Out For Peace" dedicated to Peace, Harmony and Good Will Throughout the World.
  • 2005 June 1-5: National Festival of States, Washington D.C.
